Background
Student1 is an early elementary school aged student who was evaluated by the District and found eligible for special education under the primary classification of Other Health Impairment [ADHD] and the secondary classification of Speech or Language Impairment. The Parents requested an Independent Educational Evaluation [IEE] at public expense because they disagreed in several respects with the conclusions of the District’s evaluation. The District filed for this hearing as it was required to do when it declined the Parents’ request.
