Privacy Technical Assistance Center – PTAC

As schools increasingly use electronic formats to store student records, they must take additional steps to protect student privacy. The U.S. Department of Education’s Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) works to ensure that districts will protect student records. The Department of Education boasts that PTAC is its “one-stop resource” to assist schools with meeting this goal.
