Civil Rights Lawyers for School Issues
4 – Language Based Discrimination
Schools have a duty to program for students even if they are not English speakers. Schools should have an English as a Second Language (ESL) program available for students. The ESL program should build the student’s English language speaking, writing and comprehension skills.
If you feel as though your child has been discriminated against on the basis of their language, you may want to consult with a civil rights lawyer that handles school related issues.
